How are version changes announced and identified?

Keeping Sideris Courseware materials up-to-date is one of our priorities.

There are two primary sources of version changes: new Releases of the software and minor enhancements.

1. New releases of the software. Oracle's “new releases” schedule occurs more often than might be apparent at first. Sometimes there are 2, 3, or even 4 version updates annually. Sideris tries to upgrade the materials to reflect the latest release. Since there is no consistent schedule regarding when Oracle does this, and how many times, it is difficult to predict. The item number has a suffix with "-ver" that indicates the current version number for that course title.

2. Minor error fixes and minor enhancements are generally limited to once a year, at the start of the year. Whenever possible we try to also merge new release changes into this same schedule, to minimize versions.
