Oracle AS 10g Forms III: New Features & Web Deployment (3 day)
Description
This Oracle 10g courseware training guide book will allow experienced Oracle Forms developers to maximize the performance of their applications in a web environment.
Audience
This course is intended for experienced developers knowledgeable in building Oracle Forms application modules. Those developers transitioning from a client/server to a web environment or who wish to exploit all the web deployment features of Oracle Forms will benefit from this course.
Prerequisites
The following Sideris courses are mandatory prerequisites for this course:
• Oracle Database 10g: Introduction to SQL
• Oracle Database 10g: Programming With PL/SQL

Certification
Tests for the Oracle Certified Professional program are administered by Sylvan Prometric, Inc. This course applies to the certification for an "Oracle PL/SQL & Forms Developer". Specifically, this course considers subjects included within the examination entitled "Oracle Forms Developer: Build Internet Applications".
Following any training sessions Oracle Corporation recommends six-months production experience with the technology prior to taking the certification examinations. While this is good practice it may not be necessary for all individuals.

• Understanding the differences between client/server and web deployment of online interactive applications.
• Understanding and configuring the web deployment environment of Oracle Forms Services.
• Development techniques and migration considerations for deploying Oracle Forms applications into a three tiered web architecture.
• Extending the user interface with Pluggable Java Components (PJCs).
• Migrating older applications using the Forms Migration Assistant.
• Use the WebUtil facility for tightly integrating application logic with the client browser machine.
