Introduction to Dynamic HTML

Description

This courseware training guide book will teach you effective Web design with the use of spacing and positioning to signify the relative importance of different elements on the page. This is made far easier by the application of Cascading Style Sheets. However, CSS can do more than just position page elements. In conjunction with JavaScript, CSS unlocks the ability to develop a truly interactive page. Designers are always looking for additional methods of emphasizing page elements. Since their first introduction in Netscape Navigator 3, interactive mouseovers have rapidly become one of the most important of these methods. This basic dynamic effect allows the illusion that a page is actively interacting with a user. Since the release of 4th generation browsers, Dynamic HTML has become much more full-featured, making possible a remarkable array of dynamic effects. Dynamic HTML is a deceptive name because it is not one technology, like HTML, or Java, or Perl. Instead, Dynamic HTML (or DHTML) is a series of effects that together enable Web pages to display content dynamically.
